TOURNAMENT NEWS

At TFA we guarantee every player at least 40% playing time per game; however, we ask our players to compete for everything, including playing time in games. This is determined by attitude and attendance at practice. If a player commits to The TFA program, we expect them to make the necessary practices. Failure to do this without a legitimate reason will result in the player not starting the game, and subsequently playing less time than the other players. Our requirement is 2 practices per week; however, we offer the option of up to 4 training sessions in which we strongly encourage our players to attend. These additional sessions will be small-sided scrimmages with coach supervision, but NO COACHING! The players will have to make their own decisions setting up and playing.

Please notify your coach if you cannot make a practice/game/tournament ASAP (it is not necessary to contact your coach if you are missing the optional sessions unless you are making up a missed mandatory practice). Attendance will be taken at every practice.

TFAL:
Firstly, thank you to everybody who has participated in our continued growth within TFAL. This program for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 10 years old, (formerly the Mini-Kickers) has been expanded and improved, to allow our young soccer players the experience and enjoyment of the world's most popular game!
Our second outdoor session is only weeks away, beginning April 20th. The Toledo Football Academy will again offer a recreation soccer division of the Academy; The Toledo Football Academy League (TFAL).
This recreation program will be an enjoyable, structured and challenging environment for players to learn under nationally licensed coaches - including coaches who have played at the division 1 college level and in professional leagues outside the U.S.

TFAL will also offer a top-quality curriculum that will enhance a young player's love for the game of soccer and can be used as a stand-alone program or in conjunction with another recreational program to give young players additional ball touches, while growing soccer skills under our qualified and experienced coaches.
